Twitter sets a new Tweets per Second record with Osama bin Laden Death
On Sunday night or early Monday morning depending where you were in the world, Twitter set a new record for tweets per second when word spread that Osama bin Laden had been taken out by US Navy SEAL's in Pakistan. In addition, two guys in the area unwittingly we're tweeting the carrying out of... and had no idea bin Laden lived at the compound. One of whom posted a day time video following the raid of the compound where the action took place.
Interesting how social networking sites can break news before the Main Stream Media gets a hold of it in this day and age. We live in interesting times.
RIM to support iOS and Android on BlackBerry Enterprise Server
RIM's BlackBerry Enterprise Server will now support both the Apple iOS and Google Android platform. Basically acknowledging the need to embrace competing technologies in order to stay relevant.
Well, that is going to do it for this edition of Tuesday Tech Talk. Not a lot of non-Apple and Google news this week, but come back by on Thursday and Friday for news about those 2 companies. Have a great one!
