In the last few weeks we have had an earthquake, a hurricane, tornadoes, and more roll through our area.  We are also coming up on the 10th anniversary of 9/11 an event that woke the U.S. up to what was happening all over the world.  There are talks of more terrorist actives to come.  People around me are dealing with sickness, cancer and more.

I can bemoan it all and let despair cripple me.  I can become overactive and try to lose myself in preparing.  I can try to ignore it all and…

I am sitting on a boat traveling between two islands off the coast of Colombia. As I am looking out at the water, the Lord starts speaking. I am reminded that we are just visitors sojourning in the land, to use a biblical phrase.

   Saturday morning 20 of us from my church will be heading to the small island community of Bocachica Colombia, South America.  This will be my 4th trip.  I feel a calling to go and support the mission there.  We will be building a cistern for a medical center there, holding a parents' conference, and more.  We will be there until the 30th.  If you would like more information please check the following sites.
