In the last few weeks we have had an earthquake, a hurricane, tornadoes, and more roll through our area.  We are also coming up on the 10th anniversary of 9/11 an event that woke the U.S. up to what was happening all over the world.  There are talks of more terrorist actives to come.  People around me are dealing with sickness, cancer and more.

I have been absent for a few weeks but the bicycle commuting to work has gone well. There were some limitations due to severe weather, mechanical failures, etc... I had a goal of riding 50 miles before August 7th (my wife's due date with our first child). I was able to complete that goal on July 30, 2011.
