I am new to the gspn.tv community

Hello, My name is Gary Cunningham and I am new to the gspn.tv community. I have been podcasting since July 2010 and enjoy it a lot. My podcast is called Gary's Gamer Podcast and obviously focuses on gaming. I won't be posting content on here very often but if you want to check out my blog go to www.garysgamerpodcast.wordpress.com and for the podcast go to…

April Babies

I published this on my personal blog but wanted to share it here as well.

This wasn't the normal kind of crying I have ever experienced while watching a movie.

Yesterday afternoon Julie and I sat down with our two oldest daughters to watch October Baby.

Julie, Lydia and Jessica went to watch it in the theater last fall and loved it. I knew I would enjoy it as well, but I was not prepared for how…

I Can See The Light at The End of The Tunnel!

I finally got my podcast equipment set up and working! What a relief...

I had a reverb in my main feed when I wanted to use Pod Producer and Skype.  It was driving me crazy.  I installed 2 external sound cards on my laptop and configured them, went through all the settings and no matter what I did I had the reverb. I went back to Cliff's webinar on how to hook up the mixer, I called Behringer and had their tech support on the phone, they were baffled.  It just didn't make…

It's Here!!

Yesterday my B & H order arrived!

Like a kid at Christmas I opened the box and checked out the goodies.  The Behringer mixer seems easy to set up and I already watched the tutorial on the Roland Digital Recorder and configured the recorder.  I ran over to Comp USA and bought 2 Creative Sound Blaster SB1290 external sound cards and I am in the process of adding them to my laptop and configuring one for Skype and on for PodProducer.  I also stopped at Radio Shack and Bought some 1/4…

The Journey Begins - Wasting Time

I'm going to use this blog to document my road to podcasting.  Three weeks ago I had a thought.  "I wonder if I could start a Podcast."  I had no idea about the technology needed or where to start, just an idea.

My interest in Podcasting peaked when I bought my iPhone.  I had a little broadcasting background.  I went to college to start a career in radio.  I participated at the college radio…

Late Fees!

I was on my way to the YMCA when I get a call from my wife reminding me to return my daughter's late library books. I remember a couple of days ago giving everyone the "speech" as to why I wasn't going to pay late fees for their late library books. There is no excuse for this! You guys have to be responsible and now you have to pay unnecessary late fees! I'm not paying, so figure it out!

That was a couple of days ago. Now I was on my way to the…

Grow as You Go!

I had a great workout today. Getting an early victory in the morning really sets the tone for the rest of the day. Although last night I had some trouble getting to sleep I forced myself out of bed and to the YMCA.

I listened to Zig Ziglar this morning talking about the importance of imagination. I might not remember the last time I imagined anything…

Clean Podcasters Map

I thought it would be cool to make a map of the podcasting community. http://goo.gl/maps/erI7 Please feel free to add a push pin where you podcast from. If you don't want to, the stalkers will have to understand. You could just put in the city that you podcast from if you don't want to add the specific address. This is not a public map, only those who have the url for it can view it. I found an "audio media" push pin at …

The Old Rugged Cross

During this week's Successful Life Mindset 29, Tracy Trost and Cliff discussed trigger thoughts. I think most that were listening to the livecast could relate. I'd like to share one of the trigger thoughts I have. This is not really relevant to the business side as Cliff was discussing but from a personal side.

For the last 45 years my mother has been the choir director and organist for Maplewood Baptist Church in Malden, MA. During my growing up years the church was a very large…

Using my iTouch 4th Gen as an external recording device.

I hear Cliff saying that we should be recording our audio into an external device, but the Roland R-05 Digital Recorder at $200 is just not an option. I fully understand Cliff's reasoning on this issue and I agree with it, which is why I have been trying to come up with a more cost effective solution for my situation.

I have a 4th Gen 32G…

How do you spell it?

In the next few days I will start a new venture with a new website & I am sure a podcast soon after that.

The core idea of helping a specific group, who take care of their children full time, and are working on building a business, but there is one big question:

How should I spell it?

So, I recorded some audio - because I want to understand how people think of it when they hear…

Storms, Terriorism 9/11, and more

In the last few weeks we have had an earthquake, a hurricane, tornadoes, and more roll through our area.  We are also coming up on the 10th anniversary of 9/11 an event that woke the U.S. up to what was happening all over the world.  There are talks of more terrorist actives to come.  People around me are dealing with sickness, cancer and more.

I can bemoan it all and let despair cripple me.  I can become overactive and try to lose myself in preparing.  I can try to ignore it all and…

Hi all

catholicbiologist.wordpress.com.This is a first post of a Dutch former biology teacher, living near Brussels, Belgium, Europe (planet Earth!).

My favorite topic is ‘biology and faith’. Not all biologists are believers and not all believers are confident about biological science. No, I’m not a hard-core creationist, neither a hard-core evolutionist. If you want to find out, go to…

Finding a new routine

I have been absent for a few weeks but the bicycle commuting to work has gone well. There were some limitations due to severe weather, mechanical failures, etc... I had a goal of riding 50 miles before August 7th (my wife's due date with our first child). I was able to complete that goal on July 30, 2011. Here is a link to the GPS log of the out bound portion of the ride, my battery was not able to make the entire trip.…

One door opens, another closes

The really life changing thing that has happened is that my former employer and I have parted ways. It's scary especially in this market but I believe that it's for the best on several levels. The big thing that I figured out during this whole process is that I would be much happier working for myself and so I've decided to do that and I'm hanging out my own shingle.

Now, how did I come to the decision that I wanted to work for myself? To be honest, I had been thinking of doing this…

Happy Birthday Amy Wright

Friends,

Today  would be our friend Amy Wrights birthday, however she was taken from our community far too early! Amy was

the first person who welcomed me into the GSPN community, We first met during a podcast for Lost and then she

encouraged me to listen to some of Cliff and Stephs other podcasts. Amy also got me laughing during some of my darkest

days. You see I had a stroke at 42, spent months away from my husband and children in rehab, all I had literally…
