My origins in podcasting are actually rooted in radio broadcasting. I used to have a high school radio show called the 'Chris and Dave Smorgasbord'. It was a variety/talk show, which was pretty cutting edge at the time. We used the name "Smorgasbord" to suggest an open format. However, once I got into the real world I never pursued radio as an official career. After many years, I started to get an itch to do something creative again. So in early 2010, I decided to resurrect the old Smorgasbord "brand name" and do a new weekly podcast in the same spirit as the old show from 25 years ago. This time around, it's just simply the SmorgShow Podcast. However, this time I have paired up with my daughter, Allison. It has been a blast! On top of being just a fun little hobby, it has created an even more powerful bond between me and my daughter. We have taken our show to a new level that was not possible in the old days.
