Have really gotten into this show with my kids. It's from a couple of "Lost" writers (and featuring references to it, like some of the numbers, an Apollo bar, things like that). Lots of layers to the plot so far, great discussion topics. Cliff and Stef, you would absolutely love this.
Father Roderick has a great group that dissect this on his SQPN network podcast.

Roderick's "Secrets of Once Upon a Time," Jeff and Colleen Rooney (of the GSPN community) have one called "Once Upon a Time Fan Podcast." Both are very good. I only review or preview episodes every once in a while on my podcast. The other shows do a much better job ;)

Permalink Reply by Daniel J. Lewis on December 23, 2011 at 7:36pm So far, it's well, but hard to measure because I launched with four episodes and quickly finished the other three (we started our podcast late, but we didn't want to skip anything).
We're in the iTunes top TV & Film podcasts, but we switch positions every few hours.

At least that's always been my experience with TV show fan podcasts. However, the benefits of those you will connect with far outweigh the pain of dealing with the less than 1% that are trolls.
Permalink Reply by Wayne Henderson on May 19, 2012 at 7:27pm Once Upon A Time is DEFINITELY the best new show on tv this year! Season 1 was amazing, and I can't wait for season 2. The music and story lines, although unique, do have a LOST-like quality to them. This is the most LOST-like show since LOST. If you love backstories, flashbacks, people trying to figure out who they are (does all of this sound familiar?), get the OUAT DVDs/Blu-Rays, watch them, and then get ready for season 2.
Community members Daniel J Lewis, Jeff Roney, and Fr. Roderick Vonhögen all have excellent OUAT podcasts.
Permalink Reply by DougInAtlanta on May 21, 2012 at 8:58am I'm so glad that this got renewed. So many good shows in the past few years didn't get past one season, but it's nice that a family-friendly show with an involved plot line did.
Permalink Reply by Cliff Ravenscraft @GSPN on May 21, 2012 at 11:53am I enjoyed Once Upon A Time. My favorite thing is that it was a show that our entire family enjoyed very much.
I must say that I did look forward to each new episode of Person of Interest more than I did Once Upon A Time. But still enjoyed the story telling.
I do bet that the DVD sets would provide some amazing extras. ;)
Permalink Reply by Lon Winters on May 25, 2012 at 8:48am I may have to agree on that one - there are some close seconds however. Person of Interest as Cliff mentioned, Touch, Awake, Grimm, and even Revenge come to mind. Awake really kicked into gear in the last few episodes to my surprise - I almost ditched it a couple tome but I'm glad I held on.
But Once has been consistent all season long - excellent storytelling, directing, acting, special effects, everything. the finale had the perfect balance of closure and setting the stage for the next season without being a cliffhanger.
