Gale or Peeta?

I am on chapter 7 of book 2 and I have always liked Peeta.  He has always been quietly strong

Peeta, Peeta and again  Peeta. Sorry, i know it's not a very articulate answer, but that's how i felt from book one. There's no way you can't love that guy and for me he remains one of the strongest characters ever, until the end of the books.

I have finished the book and will not give any spoilers.  For a long time I was team Gale.  Not because I didn't like Peeta, but because I felt like he was the one that Katniss was in love with.  I think Katniss has to be with Gale for a bit to resolve her own feelings about him before she could truely be with Peeta.

Team Gale. I really don't like the idea that she might end up with the person the capitol is opressively making her marry.

Peeta.  He is sweet, kind, generous, and truly selfless when it comes to Katniss.  Decent and loyal, through and through.  Couldn't ask for a better guy.

I got a guy from work to read the books.  He is team Gale, thought it Peeta was forced on Katniss too much instead of it being love.

I know I'm really late to this post, but I have to say GALE all the way! Imagine being Gale, in love with Katniss, and having to watch her leave for the Hunger Games, knowing she will probably die - AND having another guy after her on tv, being forced to watch! The torture! After Hunger Games, Gale never had a chance. I really feel for that guy! But I do love me some Peeta! :)

Here's the deal, though... Peeta has loved Katniss for years.  Way before the reaping.   And let's not forget that he saved her life with that bread! (LOL) Just say'n. :)

True!!! BUT I think (in my mind, at least) that Gale has also loved her for years... maybe not as long as Peeta, but he certainly spent more time with her than Peeta. Hunting = bonding? To have TWO boys in love with her, that poor girl, lol. :) I am SO excited to have found this Hunger Games community!

I think Peeta loved her from a distance for years.  Gale fell in love with her after spending time with her and getting to know her on a personal level. 

 

I think Gale seems a little more human with his acting out.  If the person you loved flaunted (although not intentionally) their "love" for someone else wouldn't you be hurt and act out a little.  Peeta just seems to take it, like kicking a dog and he keeps coming back for more. 

 

If not for the Hunger Games Gale and Katniss probably would have ended up together.  But everything did change after the hunger games and it was too much pressure on their relationship.  I'll leave off there so as not to post any spoilers.

Peeta all the way! Every girl needs a Peeta in her life :) I was on team Peeta from the moment he told Katniss in the cave he "was a goner" the moment he heard her sing at school when they were only 5. Heart him!
